1. Beef and Rice Diet
1/4 pound very lean beef (raw weight), cooked

2. Tuna and Rice Diet
4 ounces runa, canned in water, without added salt

1/2 ounce brewer's yeast
4 bonemeal tables (10-grain or equivalent)

YOU can buy NuVET in a POWDER rather than the wafer...
Provides 760 kilocalories, 47.3 grams protein, 21.1 grams fat.
3. Low-Ash Homemade Diet for the Prevention of Struvite Crystals:
1 ½ pounds of cooked Ground Chuck Roast (Beef), with the fat retained
1/4 lb of cooked Calf’s Liver

Recipe Directions: This home-made diet supplies approximately 0.75 Kcals/g of finished product or food. The average 20 lb dog would require approximately 700 to 1000 g (2.2 lbs) of this diet daily. Please note that this is a very abnormal diet in terms of fat, calcium, phosphorus and sodium content. It should not be fed long term to any dog. Maxium recommended feeding time is 6 weeks.
